This is the second page of the summary!

Note: This list may not always be up-to-date, the latest months may still have to added to it. Sorry for the delay!

Video above features samples from the first 2 Slapstick packs (26 and 27).

Important note: even if some packs include mapping for a specific sampler or app, this is in no way general and the packs are essentially a collection of one-shot wav files!

Pack 25, February 2023
The Undefined Piano Project - Part 1
56 samples (36.4 MB) from an out-of-tune battered down upright piano. NOT a multi-sampled or extensive piano library. There are a few single notes, 2 or 3 phrases, some plucked and scraped sequences and noise samples. I will mutate these samples to create new reward packs in the next months.

In this video, 5 samples are loaded in AUM file player. A few external FXs are used, most noticeably elf-audio Koala FX, Elliott Garage Formante and Eventide QVox.

There's an extra folder named "Slapstick Kit".  It contains a selection of short and trimmed versions of samples from both packs 26 and 27 for use in drumkits.

Kits in various formats are available to all as demos. FAC Drumkit, Native Instruments Battery and Logic Drum Machine Designer have been released so far.

Pack 28, May 2023
The Undefined Piano Project - Part 2
45 mutated sample (28.3 MB) derived from the 35 original ones of the first part (pack 25).

The names are edited to reflect the transformation that was made. Most have more noise reduction, as in the first part, I wanted to keep more of the original noise. Many are pitched down, usually by 12 or 24 semitones, some are stretched or sped up. Some have specific frequencies modified by spectral editing.

Pack 31, August 2023
Bicycle Bells
4 summery bicycle bells. It contains 71 samples (40.8 MB) in two folders.
The first one named "natural" contains the original 44 samples. For the sounds with "mute" or "rattle" in their name, I was touching a bit the bell to prevent it from ringing fully.

The second one, named "transformed", features 27 pitched down and stretched samples. Some are heavily processed to create extreme sonic textures. They are examples I made to encourage you to further experiment.

Listen to the Bicycle Bells experimental video, also features sounds from The Second Slapstick pack (29 - 30) and The Undefined Piano Project Part 2 (pack 28).

Bicycle Horns
I sampled 3 different kids bicycle horns. The blue and orange ones are in plastic, the silver one is metallic (probably tin). For the samples named horn_duo, I was squeezing both the orange and blue ones simultaneously.

There are 112 samples (21.8 MB) in two folders.
The first one named "natural" contains the original 90 samples.

The second one, named "transformed", features 22 pitched down and stretched samples. Some are heavily processed to create extreme sonic textures. They are examples I made to encourage you to further experiment. In this folder there are 9 different versions of the "horn_blue_05" sample, some additionally have been rendered to stereo with a stereo delay. The two named "impossible" have different regions with different settings.

Bass Melodion - First Taste
18 samples of the Suzuki Melodion bass-24 (29 MB).
The samples are fun to slice, stretch and pitch down. Two such examples are included. Last 3 samples are those featured in Sonic Vignette 75 - Hocus Pocus (post on my Patreon Page).

This summer, I began to delve seriously into melodicas. I like that they are wind instruments that do not need electricity.  I am mostly interested in creating unique and often dissonant sonic textures that are modulated with breath. They are a great sound design tool. I’ve had toy melodicas for years and I bought 3 more serious ones this year. One of them is the Suzuki Melodion bass-24. It has a very deep and rich voice as can be heard in the natural samples included.

The samples included here are an example of the beginning of my sonic journey with melodicas. I will certainly revisit the melodicas to create more samples, both natural and processed. Maybe even make a soundfont.

Plastic Black Rotary Phone
35 samples (19.6 MB) from the rotary phone. I recorded it a few years ago along with 3 others, all never released. I have been wanting to publish them for years and I finally took the time to release this first one.

I dialed and recorded each number from 1 to 0 individually. Also included are a few sets of rings and various noises (handling, picking up and hanging up the phone).
Processing the samples (EQ, filters, stretching, etc.) will add many variations to the sounds.

I will add the recordings of the other phones in 2024. I hope this will create a small, but nice, library of rotary phone sounds.

Frog Pound
Six stereo samples (110 MB) from a frog pond. These are recordings of the whole group of frogs, not individual frogs. The sound is powerful, haunting and mesmerizing!

Recorded in April 2016 with an Olympus LS10 portable recorder. Never released before.
Samples have been cleaned but I have left some birds, cars and footsteps. Samples are long and can be cut in smaller bits to create unique patterns. "Frogs_03a_traffic_footsteps" has 2 shorter stretched versions.

Pack 37, February 2024
African Harps
89 samples (31 MB) from two African stringed instruments, each has 3 metallic strings. I suspect that both are more decorative than musical and likely more African inspired than authentically African. They are harp type instruments, each string plays the same pitch, unlike a guitar. Of course, this is when a string is plucked cleanly. The samples include not only clean plucks, but also noisy plucks and other noises and sequences.

Excelsior Digisyzer Accordion
I decided to add accordions to my sonic arsenal. I am far from being a great accordion player, but I find it fun and useful to create soundscapes and sonic textures. Last February, I was very lucky to find a vintage Excelsior Digisyzer accordion at an affordable price. It has a marvelous sound. I sometimes record it while I am learning and taming it.

The 20 one-shot samples (28 MB) in this pack are extracted from one of these recordings.  It's not an extensive multi-sampled pack. Not all the keys and buttons have been sampled. There are a few single notes, but I mainly extracted ambiences that I find interesting from my sessions.

Bicycle Safety
48 samples (35.2 MB) from a PSA film about bicycle safety dating from 1950. Most of the safety tips are still relevant today, but the tone of the video is very different of how it would be done now!

Emulating Train Horns with Melodicas
Ever since I got my first melodica, I noticed that it was possible to emulate train horns (aka hornblasters) with it. This is a collection of 106 one-shot samples (43.3 MB) and not an extensive multi-sampled pack. Not all the keys have been sampled, only some of the chords that reminds me of train horns. Five different melodicas are featured. A few short phrases are included too. I have added 14 toy train whistle samples too.
