ZVON MARCHING BAND HORN FOR THE WUSIKSTATION:
The 3 volumes together represent 356 MB of samples and over 300 presets. They were recorded at 16 bits, 44.1 Khz.
Note that even if this
library is quite extensive, it's not meant to compete with those great
brass libraries that we love, but it certainly possess a unique quality
and can be a great add on to them. If you don't have one yet,
it's certainly a good starting point to add brasses to your compositions
without breaking the bank. This library covers many moods and many
styles of playing.
Most patches are multisampled, a few are not and they give strange FX in the lower range of keyboard. They range from very smooth and mellow to hard hitting and growling, from staccatos and stabs to sustained pads.
As some samples are time stretched, it's not necessarily meant to perfectly emulate the real instrument. But it is great for adding an authentic horn flavor and also providing a wider range of uses. No other processing was involved so what you hear is really acoustic, not electronic.

Excerpts from Tom Baxter's review: The presets make some of the most imaginative use of the layering and modulation features of the Wusikstation that I’ve heard ... I find that some of the shorter samples give an extra punch to a lot of synthesized sounds... the biggest reason to give this a try is that it’s hard to find horn sets that really sound like horns, with different attacks and sustains... it isn’t quite a flugelhorn, a french horn, a trombone or trumpet, but with variations in register and tuning, it can sound a lot like all of them.
This collection is only available for the Wusikstation and others WE products. The first 2 Volumes each come with over 90 presets, both v1 and v2 format included. The 3rd volume has 60 presets available in v2 format only. Presets were designed by ToTc and Zvon for use in the Wusikstation. Also included are 66 extra presets in v2 format that combine the 3 volumes waveforms.
